The downside is that if your phone is broken then you won’t get anywhere near as much for it as you would have got when it was working for obvious reasons. However you can still get a considerable amount for a newer phone that is broken so it’s definitely worth taking a look to see how much your broken phone is worth. After all, a broken phone is useless to you so you may as well turn it into whatever money you can get for it.

Is my phone working or not?
When deciding whether your phone is a working or non-working one you need to consider the individual requirements of each company. In general though if the phone turns on and off, is complete with all the parts of the phone including battery cover and doesn’t have any cracks, has a working LCD screen that gets to the main operating system, has a working touch screen if it is a touchscreen phone then it is considered a working phone. In some cases you won’t even need to provide the battery for it to be considered a working phone.
If the phone is completely broken in half or crushed or has key parts missing then it may not be even be considered a “non working” phone and hence you may not be able to sell it at all. However the majority of phones will be sold for real money.
